Sexpot Icon(s), from the Sexpot series

The following work(s), more to be added later, developed from a visiting artist residency at the University of Kentucky in late winter 2006. Needing a sample for the week-long project "Embellished Textile Icons", the piece(s) developed into a mini-series of their own. Each textile icon measures approximately 10" high, and featured hand~painted acrylic on polymer ladies decorating the top of each icon. These work are also pushing the concept of exposing some of the silk duponi, and incorporating more traditional embroidery work. Like the other Sexpot pieces, each icon has a small nudie playing card in the middle of the pots.
