Devotional Objects:

In 2005 I began a series of shaped hand-worked textile altars. The first "St. Jude, Save Us" was inspired by a visit to the shrine of St. Jude in Baltimore. I'm attracted to the altar format partially out of my Catholic upbringing as well as the format which both objectifies and ritualizes the content. And, of course, they are a terrific decorative form.
